Almost everyone loves the feel of the warm sunshine as it hits their skin. What we don’t particularly care for is the long term effects it can produce. Sun spots, age spots, liver spots… just to name a few, are flat brown blemishes that appear on the body due to overexposure to the sun.
Proper protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays is imperative to prevent these unsightly phenomena. But no matter how hard we try to protect our skin, everyone is susceptible and has probably experienced a bad sunburn at one point or another.
These spots are harmless and non-cancerous, only requiring treatment for cosmetic reasons. They can appear anywhere on your body that has had exposure to the sun. Sun spots are most commonly found on the face, neck, back, chest and hands.
