Combine Dermaplaning and a Hydrafacial for the Ultimate Skin Glow

Combine Dermaplaning and a Hydrafacial for the Ultimate Skin Glow

If you’d like to give your skin a “glow up,” you may want to consider combining two treatments: dermaplaning and HydraFacial®. Aimed at cleansing your skin while doing away with damaged or dead cells, these noninvasive treatments can reveal a more youthful and radiant complexion.

Our skin specialists at Dutch Hollow Medical Day Spa in Godfrey, Illinois, are pleased to offer dermaplaning and HydraFacial to help you feel more confident about your skin.

Here’s a closer look at these treatments, including the benefits of pairing them.

How dermaplaning works

Dermaplaning thoroughly exfoliates your skin using a thin, sterile scalpel. Unlike other treatments, no harsh chemicals are required, so it’s often ideal for sensitive skin.

At the start of your 30-minute treatment, your provider cleanses your skin with clinical-grade products. Then, while you relax, they gently glide the scalpel across your face, using feathery strokes. From there, a special hydrating skin solution is applied to keep redness to a minimum.

Immediately after your session, you have a more vibrant-looking complexion. Specific benefits may include:

Dermaplaning even works well if you have a chronic skin condition, such as rosacea.

How HydraFacial works

Like dermaplaning, HydraFacial is noninvasive and brings the benefits of both exfoliation and hydration. It bathes and cleanses your skin with one use of a single instrument, which sets it apart from many traditional facials.

Each session takes about 30 minutes and unfolds in five steps:

  1. Cleanse, for exfoliation
  2. Customized acid peel, to loosen debris from your pores
  3. Extraction, to clean out your pores
  4. Hydration, using hyaluronic acid-based, antioxidant-rich solutions
  5. Topical solution, which helps your skin glow for as long as possible

HydraFacial treatments are ideal if you have oily or acne-prone skin, sensitive skin, or wish to minimize fine lines and wrinkles.

Combining dermaplaning and HydraFacial

At Dutch Hollow Medical Day Spa, we offer new customers a special package, which includes dermaplaning and HydraFacial treatment, because we feel they complement each other beautifully.

Once dermaplaning has allowed us to remove dead and damaged skin cells from your complexion, HydraFacial lets us cleanse even deeper while amplifying hydration and protection. In other words, you leave with an even more vibrant glow.

Results of both treatments last four to six weeks, so you may wish to repeat them monthly for ongoing benefits.
